The processing of your personal data serves the purpose of processing the application process. During the application process we require certain personal data and information. In particular, the following categories of your personal data will be processed in the application form:- Personal data (e.g. first and last name, address, date of birth, email address, telephone number)
- Information about job data
- the associated application documents
By registering with LSG Airline Catering & Retail GmbH and/or with Retail in Motion Europe GmbH, you provide the company with your personal data for a specific job offering for the purpose of the application process.
The legal basis for processing your application data depends on the purpose of the processing for which the personal data is intended.
Data processing as part of your application
The legal basis for processing your application data for this purpose is GDPR Article 6.1 (b). Without data processing, we cannot process your application and conduct the application and recruiting process.
Data processing for future job opportunities
The legal basis for processing your application data for this purpose is GDPR Article 6.1 (a). We only process your data in our applicant management system beyond the specific job application process if you have given your explicit consent.
Data processing for the defence of legal claims
The legal basis for data processing for the purpose is GDPR Article 6.1 (f). In special cases we process your data to protect a legitimate interest. The interest could be to defend possible legal claims, e.g. within proceedings under the German General Act on Equal Treatment (AGG). In addition, in the event of a possible legal dispute, we have a legitimate interest in retaining the data for evidence.
Data processing for anonymized statistics
The legal basis for data processing for the purpose is GDPR Article 6.1 (f). We need statistical information about the use of our online application process. We use anonymization techniques to protect your personal data.

Your data will be stored and processed on the systems of our software partner Abacus-umantis AG in accordance with GDPR Art. 28.
3. Data protection and confidentiality
We take user privacy very seriously. LSG Airline Catering & Retail GmbH and Retail in Motion Europe GmbH and the software partner Abacus-umantis AG have taken the organizational and technical measures necessary to ensure the confidentiality of your application. All employees of the human resources department as well as our software partner are obliged to confidentiality about personal data under their employment contract. Automatically activated 128-bit encryption ensures secure transmission of your data. When processing data, the general standards for data security are considered in accordance with the state of technological knowledge.Only employees who conduct the recruiting process have access to your application data. These are the human resources department, the manager responsible for the job offering and, if necessary, other interview partners relevant to the recruitment. The manager and other interviewees only have temporary access to the application documents to assess your application for the position to which you have applied. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties unless we are legally obliged, or you have given your explicit consent.
4. Use of your personal data
During the application process, your personal data such as surname, first name, date of birth and the usual correspondence such as postal address, email address and telephone numbers are stored in the applicant database. In addition, application documents such as letters of motivation, CV, professional qualification, training and further education qualifications as well as job references are processed.The information provided will only be saved, evaluated, processed, or forwarded internally as part of your application. Under no circumstance will your data be passed on to companies or other persons outside LSG Airline Catering & Retail GmbH and Retail in Motion Europe GmbH or used for other purposes. The data can be processed for statistical purposes (e.g. reporting) and cannot be attributed to a natural person. Data will not be otherwise processed or used.
5. Your rights
When it comes to the processing of your personal data, you have effective rights.Right of access according to GDRP Art. 15
You have the right of access to personal data which have been collected concerning you. You can access your electronic data, change it or delete your data yourself at any time.
Right to rectification: You have the right to request from us without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you (GDPR Art. 16).
Right to delete: You can request from us the deletion of your personal data (GDRP Art. 17).
Right to restriction of processing: You can request us to restrict your personal data from further processing. This right applies in particular for a period enabling us to verify the accuracy of your personal data, if you dispute the accuracy of the data concerning you, or in the event the processing is unlawful and you request the restriction of the personal data instead of the deletion. Furthermore, we no longer need the personal data for the purposes of the processing, but you require the data for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or in the event you have objected to the processing and the objection is pending the verification (GDPR Art. 18).
Right to data portability: You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, common, machine-readable format (GDPR Art. 20), provided that it has not already been deleted.
Right to object: You have the right to object to the processing of personal data concerning you at any time (GDPR Article 21). We will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which overrides your interests, rights and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Right to complain to the supervisory authority: You have the option to contact the data protection officer mentioned above or a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the General Data Protection Regulation. 6. Storage and erasure of data
If you start a job at LSG Airline Catering & Retail GmbH or Retail in Motion Europe GmbH, your personal data, or possibly an excerpt of it, will be included in your personnel file.LSG will keep your application data for a period of 6 months after completion of the application process. We then delete your application data, subject to statutory retention periods.
If you have applied, but we cannot offer you a suitable position at this time, your application can be assigned to a talent pool, provided you have given your consent during the application process. In this case, you will receive a message for your information. If you do not agree or are no longer interested, you have the option to delete your data (profile and application) at any time. If your application is assigned to a talent pool, the data will be stored for 12 months and will then be deleted.
Withdrawal of consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time with future effect. All you need to do is send an email to: Datenschutz@lsg-group.com
